Shopping at the cruise terminal was very enjoyable. Plenty of little shops and booths. Prices were reasonable. There are restrooms, post office and even a Harley Davidson shop. The shopping in town was not as nice and was more expensive.

Downtown shopping isn't worth the trip. The was only 1 store worth the visit and had some Barbados souvenirs in the back. The front and other stories of the store were all the same items we have back home at twice the price.

Bridgetown has several dozen retail shopping locations. Most all of them are major names (Tiffany's caliber jewelery shops) and watch vendors. Prices are competitive, all seemed to be about 10-15% below US prices. I had expected a 'flea market' kind of setting, but its much...More

Parking a bit tricky, so have a bit of fun and use the local buses. The fare is always $2 Bds wherever you go. A definite experience. Plenty of shops and bars, and quite a bit cheaper than shops on the West coast.

After a number of trips to Barbados and the chance to compare prices the best advice is to research ahead of time. We found camera prices were cheaper in Canada. Shorts, beachwear (Quicksilver etc.) are no bargain in Barbados. Some tags at Cave Sheppard (dept...More
