About
Greenmeadow Community Farm has been a working farm for over 250 years. Set in over 120 acres, we have a wide range of pedigree and rare animals which you can come and meet up close. Nestled in the heart of Cwmbran, this is truly a Community Farm in every sense of the word, working closely with and serving the local community and welcoming visitors from far and wide. Our cosy farmhouse cafe, Cafe Cwtch, offers kids favourites and a selection of homemade specials. We aim to use as much local produce as we can, supporting local farmers, growers and suppliers. The farm shop is full of tractors and animals to take home after your visit. There really is something for everyone. We would love to see you soon! Please note we are open 10am - 5pm (last entry at 4pm) seven days a week, whatever the weather! The farm is closed for deep cleaning and maintenance from 24th December - 31st January each year.

Recently visited here, was quite nostalgic since I last came here when I was young. Good day out, tractor rides available, able to feed some animals. Nice little farm. Great for young children. Staff are friendly.

We're lucky enough to live near here so have a pass for myself and my 2 year old. The baby goes free. It's more of a farm than park compared to other farm parks in the area. The main adventure playground is currently shut but there are other smaller play areas in the main area including a farm sand pit. There's a good variety of animals and often babies as this is a working farm. The children can hold the smaller animals in cuddle corner and feed the bigger ones. The recent Halloween event was great and we love the animal nativity at Christmas. It's suitable for younger children mainly. The animals are all very well cared for. If you're expecting bells and whistles it's not the place for you but we're happy to keep returning.

Thanks for taking the time to write this lovely review :-) We are hoping to secure funding to develop a new playground in the New Year and as a yearly pass holder living locally, hopefully you'll have plenty of time to come and join us!

I had a rare day in the week with my 3 year old and 1 year old so decided to take them to the farm. To get in it costs £12.50 for all 3 of us and this also included a bag of food to feed the animals. A tractor ride was also included in the price, which my daughter enjoyed so much we went on twice. A chance to feed smaller animals too including rabbits and Guinea pigs. Lots of different farm animals to see. A cafe on site and a play area. The staff were really friendly too. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Nice day out for our family, lots of animals with their babies to look at, we especially liked the pigs and piglets. Our son enjoyed the tractor ride, only downside was no cows, did ask a member of staff where they were but said they were out in a paddock somewhere but other than that a good range of small and larger animals, nice area to walk around, good little park and plenty of seating in the cafe and picnic areas. Would go again.

Thanks so much for the review...yes the cows were out in the fields in the summer months as they love it! Normally you would see them either on the tractor ride or as you walk around the farm. Currently there are also some in the animal house and we had some beautiful calves born this Autumn :-) Look forward to seeing you next time!

Really bad dont waste your money. We went on a Saturday main park was closed we were told it's due to it being wet! Later found out they had animals there and that's the real reason it was closed. There was no mention of that on the website when I booked. So after seeing the very limited amount of animals they have which took 20 minutes, and a tractor ride that went through rubbish tips and over grown plants we has to leave! No arts and crafts like there used to be, no cuddle corner either! Just a massive waste of time and money. Cafe just as bad waited ages for a simple panini in a Cafe that had only 4 customers so not busy at all. My kids were so upset as I had shown them the park and that was the main reason we booked. Then no to bed told it was closed and to receive no apology when i asked why i wasnt told i think was very unprofessional. We definitely wont be going again.

Sorry to hear you did not enjoy your visit…please can you let us know the date that you came so we can look into some of the issues you mention.
Our tractor ride does not go through any rubbish tips so not sure what you are referring to here?
At present we are unable to run crafts and cuddle corner due to COVID regulations, just as all other places cannot run close contact activities. This is not our preferred option but does keep us in line with regulations and keeping everyone safe as we reopen.
If you would like to discuss your visit in more detail with a manager, please give us a call on 01633 647662. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback

Such a sweet little place 😊. We visited on a weekday and found plenty to do and see for a young family (I would say ideal for under 10s) for the afternoon. There were lots of livestock to look at and, in some cases, feed. We saw cows, sheep, goats, pigs & piglets, chickens, ducks, rabbits, donkeys and horses which were all well cared for. There is a tractor trailer ride which will be a hit with small children, a park including an area with ride on tractor /digger toys for toddlers and a nice cafe which serves lunch, coffee & cake, ice creams etc. Felt very safe with plenty of space and hand washing facilities dotted around. Staff couldn't have been nicer. We will return!

We came here with our granddaughter wed. It brought back wonderful memories for us as we used to bring our children when they were young. We had a lovely few hours and we were lucky as the sun was shining (granddaughters fave was the chickens so we had to get her one from the gift shop). Sadly we were more tired than our GD 😂 but she had a ball. We will come with a picnic next time 😁

Hi, Do the tractor rides and activities run every day? We are coming down for half term but have realised that our week off is a week before the local welsh schools. Trying to work out if the farm would be a good day out with the kids?
Thanks,
Cath

Is it dog friendly? I'm thinking probably not but just thought I'd ask.

So sorry for the delay...this question slipped through the net! Dogs are allowed on site but must be kept on a lead at all times. The only area they are not allowed is the Cafe and we do ask that you pick up any poop :-)
Is the playground open? We are hoping to visit tommorrow - 2nd April. Thanks

closed a few weeks back but they told us this was due to the weather. I would ring first but even without the playground this is a brilliant place for children of all ages and us oldies too.
