Visited Jan 13, 2015. No sign from the outside, blown away by the last strong typhoon. It is very near the port terminal end of the Blvd.
It is a private collection of a family. Many old saint statues. Some earthern jars-banga. A big bell in the middle.
Big part of the display is a collection of mineral stones from Surigao. A lot of chromite examples which are mined in the province.
There are some World War II relics.
Worth the P/25 entrance.

from the heart of the city, it is about a kilometer to find this museum. Maintained by the Bureau of Mines and Geology, it showcase all the rocks and minerals found in the whole region of CARAGA. It has quite a few of its array of mineral rocks, but fine enough to see what are the existing and potential mineral elements found in the area. One suggestion: they should lighten up more the museum as some areas are so dark that it gives a creepy feeling....

The museum area is just enough for the display of oceanic minerals and material. In fairness, the display are quite ok...from different kinds of stones.and other artifacts. I houses some of the artifacts Surihaoa Culture.

I was literally in a shock when I arrived at the address of the museum because what I found there was a building under deconstruction. There was a banner on it proudly bearing museum name but there was nothing to see. Shame on you TripAdvisor to actually advertise it as a local tourist attraction. I’d expect more from you in terms of accurate information.
