the beach is beautiful but sand eroded although the administration is trying to bring it back to it's past glory...but still i feel we need a more structured approach...

This is another beautiful beach quite close to Digha and it is also a fishing harbour.Its a visual treat seeing the fishermen with their nets in the sea and the rising sun and that's what makes the photographer go berserk!!

Beach is located very nesr to haldia.. This place has good conectivity by boat. Full day trip with food and drinks here is a good idea.

In contrast to Digha, Shankarpur is cleaner, quieter and nicer. The state fisheries unit is worth seeing. And, don't forget to sip on the green coconuts available aplenty on the beach. Nice getaway for a day or two.

Recommend visit with Digha tour.Not good for only sankarpur visit.you can see Little bit snail and crab and fish.

excellent place to relax and have sea food if u don't bother too much about hygiene :-p. clean beach...less croudy makes it special
