This is one of my favorite waterfall hikes in the park. You can do it as a large loop with the Fire Road, an out and back, or incorporate Dark Hollow Falls as well. I've it all 3 ways. You hike mostly along the stream...More

Highly recommended hike. Lots of small waterfalls and pools along the way. Just beautiful. Can also get to Hollow falls from the Rose River trail. Do it. Not too difficult. About 3-4 hours total.

We enjoyed our family hike through the woods from the ridge down to the falls. The falls are pretty, with a drop into a pool and another longer drop into a notch below (the second drop is harder to view). The path is moderate and...More

We started our hike at Dark Hollow Falls and then continued through Rose River Falls. The hike was a bit strenuous as it was largely uphill and rocky at points. You follow the river although there wasn’t much water during our visit. The views were...More

We only went up (from the falls to Skyline) as we started at Dark Hollow. The hike back to Skyline is long and uphill. You walk about 1.5 miles along Skyline Drive itself, but it is separated from the road by a stone wall. The...More

This is a great hike if you want to be walking along a creek for most of the hike, we only can across many 5 other hikers. It took us approx. 3hrs to complete the hike.

The trail was described as moderate and it was easy to moderate initially. The first waterfall was beautiful and we enjoyed our walk, especially the bear that we met along the path. The path after the first waterfall was too difficult for us to traverse....More

My wife and I just started hiking recently. This was our second hike in the Park, both to water falls. The first was Dark Hollow Falls which was a easier shorter hike. The upper part of the trail was easier to navigate but the lower...More

Go down the falls, up the river. Finish on the fire road to make it a loop, or park a car by the dark hollow falls entrance and hike all the way up the dark hollow falls path. Beautiful, will take many pictures. Just rained...More
