The hike in isn't to bad after parking in Fishers Gap. Start on the Horse Trail then go to Rose River trail. After some rain the river will put on a show through all the plunge pools. So many plunge pools and areas to take...More

Everyone else's comments are spot on. If it's rained within a few days (or raining during) of your visit, give this one a go. We've started on the fire road and we've ended on the fire road. Starting on the falls and ending on the...More

The clockwise hike returning on a fire road road near the bottom of Dark Hollow Falls was our favorite hike. Views are everywhere, and this hike along the Rose River was a refreshing change.

This is one of my favorite waterfall hikes in the park. You can do it as a large loop with the Fire Road, an out and back, or incorporate Dark Hollow Falls as well. I've it all 3 ways. You hike mostly along the stream...More

Highly recommended hike. Lots of small waterfalls and pools along the way. Just beautiful. Can also get to Hollow falls from the Rose River trail. Do it. Not too difficult. About 3-4 hours total.

We enjoyed our family hike through the woods from the ridge down to the falls. The falls are pretty, with a drop into a pool and another longer drop into a notch below (the second drop is harder to view). The path is moderate and...More
