We drove most of the Skyline Drive and stopped frequently at various view points along the route. The views are great and we we were lucky enough to a black bear with her two cubs, worth the drive out from our holiday in D.C

Amazing drive through Shenandoah National Park, even though it was pretty foggy in the morning. It was a last minute decision to go here, but we were very happy we did! It was the first day of a 4 week vacation and on the drive...More

America, the beautiful! Mountains, the tree-lined winding road, peaceful and quiet, and plenty of overlooks to take in the views. The rangers at the Dickey Visitor Center were superbly informative and helpful. Great gift shop, too. Was only on the drive for a few hours,...More

Every time we go to Skyline Drive we see plenty of wildlife and amazing mountain views. A storm blew through and it was absolutely gorgeous.

Just driving up this route with the car windows down to enjoy the crisp, fresh air is worth the effort. Add glorious views of the Shenandoah Valley from each lookout point, and you have a lovely day out, if the weather's on your side

The drive is beautiful. Get out often to see the view, but watch your step! Saw my first rattlesnake and a bear was right on the other side of a lookover we scared him as much as he scared us.

I gave the Skyline Drive a poor rating not because of the beautiful scenery but because we paid $25 and were really excited to do the drive only to find out 20 minutes later that it was completely fogged in for the rest of the...More

Have travelled over mountains and have done many road trips in many countries. This one has fantastic views and is very well looked after. The trails look tempting if one has the time to set off to walk them. Definitely a next trip to stay...More

I have yet to drive the entire length of the park due to other sights that I had scheduled to visit. If you’re making stops and trying to enjoy the park a little. At least six hours.
