It’s a little bit of a hike, but worth it. There is no hurry to get there so you can take your time. Views are very different so make sure you go around the lake.

Not a bad hike to get here. Yes an elevation to get through but worth it. Smaller lake. Sit down. Have a picnic lunch. Beautiful water lilies. Then keep going. The views around the lake are totally different. Then head to Dream Lake.

With two small children (4yr and 6yr), plus a senior we were able to slowly make it up to Nymph lake. We took many short breaks for water and rest, and once we reached the lake we rested in the beauty for quite sometime. Great...More

If crowds bother you, this is a little more secluded. It's a short, small incline, hike. There is no place in Estes Park that does not include beautiful views. You can continue on to a couple more lakes that are close by.

Nymph Lake is 0.5 mi/0.8 km from the Bear Lake trailhead. The short hike is a bit steep - gaining 225 ft/69 m in elevation. It's the first of 3 lakes on the way to Emerald Lake. We visited the lake around 9am on a...More

It's a nice lake. If you really love hiking, I would recommend it. The hiking to get here seems a bit long at times, but the hike overall is not difficult. Expect quite a few people on the trails.

Nice little lake short hike up from Bear lake. It is a mostly paved uphill hike. You can continue up to 3 other lakes or just hang out here and people watch. There are benches and logs to sit on.

The day we did this hike was super foggy and pouring rain, but the lake was still beautiful. Make sure to arrive early or be prepared to take the shuttle from Park and Ride. The trail was mainly rocky and uphill from the Bear Lake...More

We did take this hike past Nymph Lake, but this would be a wonderful hike for families with smaller children or people with less endurance. There are multiple spots around the lake to get close to the shore, and the far side has a gorgeous...More

This is a lovely little walk that has good quality paths leading to a one of the three stunning lakes that you'll find if you continue on up the Bear Lake Trail Head path. For a short walk this will give you a massive insight...More
