We stopped here one early morning in mid October. There is a sizable parking area. They have a nice gift area. Not huge, but they have some nice things. Ample information on the park's history is available. Nice restrooms. Great views.

A place to purchase food, beverages, outdoor gear, and other things you might need on your hikes but have forgotten. Also, good overview of the geological features of volcanic regions

As always we stop at all the visitor centers in all the parks that we visit. This one has all the interpretive displays explaining the activities in the park. There is a store and a café with wonderful vistas all around the center.
