Highly recommend. Close & short drive from Gatlinburg. Turn left at stoplight #8. Lots of moss & water & cabins. Store at bottom with unique items and were nice enough to let us use their restroom.

Driving this trail through the SMNP is like going back in time. Such beautiful scenery, feels so far away from all the hustle and bustle. And the sound of the water rushing off the mountain is so relaxing! We spend an afternoon here every time...More

This spring break seemed to have unusually large crowds. Cars were parked EVERYWHERE and it made it really difficult to get through. We wanted to hike to Baskins Falls but gave up due to crowds and lack of parking.

The Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail is a great place to see bears and deer, historic buildings, and go on many hiking trails, some of which lead to water falls. The roads here are serious mountains roads, and once you enter you can only go...More

We have done this drive a few times and have hiked to the waterfall. It is a great place to spend the day and close to town for relaxing when done.

Visited during fall. There are 2 sharp turns which are scary. Drive slow & enjoy the view. It's a 1 way circular loop for most part, a bit confusing at the end of the trail. Stop at the barns enroute, they are quaint esp with...More

I believe the trial was closed when we were there for maintenance. You may want to verify it is open. It is a long hike, but the trail is well maintained.
