Nice to see some easier trails in Smoky Mountain National Park. They are everywhere! Balsom Quiet Walkway brings you to a beautiful stream that’s just roaring! I thought that was really cool.

Many short, quiet walks are along the Gap Road. One - at about mile marker 1.7 from the West goes slowly down to a great quiet river view. We were the only ones on the trail

We were driving along and stopped in this area for the kids to play in the stream. We ended up getting more than planned for, mamma bear and two cubs. We had an awesome vantage point (at a safe distance). Very cool.

These walkways are wonderful. Scattered throughout the park on the TN side, they are a great way to find seclusion and quiet. They are a great alternative for those of us unable to do hikes. Highly recommend.

There are several of these around the park and they allow you to get away into nature without too much trouble. Most do not require special footwear and some are even paved near Gatlinburg.

In this day and age it is rare to find something that is exactly as advertised. However, the dozen or so quiet walkways on the two main park roads on the Tennessee side are exactly that. No neon here- just small roadside signs that are...More

So many beautiful choices along the way. Take your time and enjoy God's beauty that has been given to us for free. A must do for quiet, cozy, relaxing moments.
