My husband and I who are seniors were here with our 12 year old granddaughter. We really wanted to hike this trail. My granddaughter is an experienced hiker and was hopping from rock to rock on Door Trail. But Saddle Pass Trail got the best...More

This was a good hike that went up one of the hills. It was slippery, at times, because of the dirt on the rocks. It met up with the Castle Trail on the other side of the hill. It was a fun hike, but take...More

The trail is nice and hike is a bit hard, If you're a bit out of shape, you may want to skip this, but if you decide to take this hike, then take your time. It's another beautiful area of the park.

The start of this trail is a hefty climb, when you get to the top, before the trail enters the prairie, there is a massive peak that can be climbed. It's a difficult climb, but offers some of the best views around. We loved it...More

We went with 9 and 10 year old kids. It took us about 2 hours round trip after all the picture taking. It’s a great little hike involving some work, the trail links up with the castle trail at the top of the hill. Going...More

This is a short hike but it is uphill all the way. Once you get to the top the view is amazing. The hike will probably take about an hour round trip. There is loose soil so going down is the hard part.

If you are short on time and looking for some interesting views, this is a good choice. The uphill portion is really not that difficult. He toughest part is really coming back down, as there are some areas of loose rock. We had actually accessed...More

Saddle Pass Trail is the only one in the park that I would consider strenuous. Even then it's only a 1/4 mile in length so you should totally do it anyway. From the parking lot there a a couple of stretches up steep hills. After...More

Yes, we brought our infant (carrying) 5,8,10-year-old here. The path is a little bit strenuous and if it is rainy or snowy it will be slippery but we had fun and mud washes off. My kids had a blast looking at the rocks and... More
