An area that is quite vast yet extremely beautiful even if it resembles a different planet out here. The views are gorgeous no matter what angle they're viewed from. Just goes to show just how fantastic our country's landscape truly is...

I took the Castle/Medicine Loop trail. As most folks say it's not like you are going right in the middle of all the huge formations but I really wasn't into all the rock climbing. This hike is flat. I'm not a professional hiker. I was...More

We missed the start of the trail but another hiker helped us out. Be sure to bring water. Great formations along the way.

This trail is flat and easy to hike along. It's quite long, we only hiked half (from the insanely steep Saddle Pass to the Western trailhead) but it was most enjoyable. Wear *really* good shoes.

We hit the trail after we hiked the Notch Trail. We hit the trail about 9, and we planned to hike the Castle Trail to the Medicine Root Trail and back to the car, which would be about 8 miles. I underestimated the heat and...More

This is the longest hike in the park-10 miles or all the way from the western end of the park to the eastern beginning of the park. It appears to be fairly straight and not that strenuous...you pass many of the same formations you would...More
