This hike was truly “as good as it gets”! My most important advice would be the earlier the better. We got to the park before 7 but the trailhead was about a half hour drive in so we started about 7:30. Ideally, I’d recommend starting...More

My wife, teenager and I just traveled to Arches National Park. We hiked the entire trail including the primitive loop. First of all, you must get an early start, the heat really begins to beat down on you later in the day. This trail can...More

Brilliant hike to see multiple Arches. We did this having already hiked up to Delicate Arch so decided only to go as far as Double O and then come back via Partition Arch. The first part of the trail is gravelled so fairly easy going...More

We did the hike with the primitive loop and it was SO MUCH FUN! We had trouble finding the trail at times, but we made it through and absolutely loved every second. If you have the time and are a little more adventurous then add...More

This trail is not difficult and there is not much elevation gain, although some people found it a challenge on the nerves to walk along the tops of fins with drops on either side but it really wasn't a big deal. We visited Tunnel Arch,...More

I'm just talking about the 1.6 round-trip trek to Landscape Arch. Maybe because of the altitude, and maybe because of the heat (97), we didn't find the walk as easy as advertised, There were some good hill climbs (up and down) and some sandy stretches...More

You can make of this hike as you want. The entire hike is 8 miles and the last half is supposedly really challenging, but we only went halfway. The first mile is easy and takes you past many beautiful arches. You get to see Landscape,...More

This was our first experience in Arches and was probably our favorite hike of the visit. We took the main trail all the way out to Double O Arch, including all the spurs. We skipped the final leg out to Dark Angel but only because...More

One of our favorite trails in the park. The longer we hiked, the fewer the people. First up was the Landscape Arch. Longest arch in the park, in contrast to Delicate Arch, which is the largest. The trail here is moderate, and one of the...More

Amazing hike, especially the primitive trail. Landscape arch is beautiful and all the other arches are great but what we really loved was climbing up through the primitive trail and the amazing views you get from double o onwards. Be mindful that you need to...More

No. A permit is required for the Fiery Furnace, not the Devil's Garden.
