The cave paintings are small but authentic. The stalactites and stalagmites are very impressive, presented well with lights and music. The guide speaks mostly in French and then provides a summary in English, really enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Laminated sheets in English are very brief to...More

This is off the beaten track a little bit, but well worth setting aside the time if you are anywhere near Brantôme, Nontron, Mareuil etc. The park outside is well set up to amuse and educate smaller children and pre-teens. We loved the replica Stone...More

Well it started so well with the enthusiastic tour guide explaining what to expect including the fantastic light and sound show and then we descend the staircase and that's when it fell apart! The tour guide speech was swamped by noisy children-too young to be...More

No it is not suitable for pushchairs in the caves but the garden and shop and cafe are suitable for pushchairs. Inside the caves, the paths are quite narrow so it would be advisable to carry your child if possible.
