The statue is in a nice area of Tokyo (it feels a million miles from Shinjuku - it is about an hour). This place is more family oriented and had a nice boardwalk from which you can see rainbow bridge. Worth a visit.

Take Monorail out to Odaiba, we took it from Shimbashi Station. Purchased the day pass and visited all the stops o long monorail line. Fuji TV building has great view, take the ferry view of Tokyo. Night view is worth the stay......

The first impression I have is that Odaiba have a futuristic feel. Visited Gundam is a must. Go around noon via ferry and back to Tokyo at night via train.

Came here for the futuristic appeal. Not into shopping so weren't that impressed with the malls. Only a small place so most venues are within easy walking.

You get to take an afternoon break and enjoy the view.....continue to shop and eat once you are recharged! The evening view is great and don't miss it! Do it on weekday....less crowded.

Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris
wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of
shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a
hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is
very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has
ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find
restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The
neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much

We caught the train and then changed to the monorail; if you have a map of the train lines it’s quite easy to find.
