The walk to get to the blowhole was not short. However, it was very scenic. I enjoyed it immensely. The blowhole is a hole in the ground that the sea rushes into. But it was a pretty darn big hole and was quite impressive! We...More

We went close to high tide on a full moon and there was no blow. It was just a hole in the ground. Quite disappointed after a big walk. A few very steep sections. There are much better places to visit in the Catlins.

The track is quite challenging with some steep sections. Well worth the effort to get there even at low tide. Also beautiful views of the coast on the way to it

A long walk. Worth viewing. Make sure you've got good shoes, jandals not recommended. Coastal views along the way - beautiful.

Beautiful scenery and nice walk but did not take water and it was a hot day. Also took grandies with me and found it just too long for them to walk all the way. Great experience though.

There is a 45 minute return walk up to Jack's Blowhole. The formation itself is rather incredible and unique but if you only have three weeks two explore both islands (like we did on this trip), this 45 minutes could probably have been spent better...More
