Yes the environment is nice, but to mention this bridge separate as a touristic attraction ... Unless I miss something, I would not describe this bridge as a must see.

From this bridge you can get the best of Arashiyama best scenery, calming and soothing. We manage to stay so near the bridge such that we can get beautiful scenery of the earling morning and the evening.

Gets crowded in the afternoon but the breeze was refreshing. I recommend getting there before 9am. Everybody there is courteous but if loses some lustre when it is too busy. Evening for the moon - after all, that is what it's named after.

This is the iconic bridge of Arashiyama which crosses the mighty Katsuragawa River. It looks ordinary to me, and doesn’t have the aesthetic architectural design. Cross this bridge to get to the Monkey Park on the other side of the river.

My rating is based on my visit in Summer season, it may be scenic during cherry blossom or with fall colors but it really has nothing special in July, not to mention crowd... It is a nice short walk if you happen to visit Arashiyama.

Worth a stop if you are in the are for other reasons, as we were. The bridge is beautiful and they are many rickshaws on the roads and boats and fly fishermen in the river, also making for nice photos. Our guide told us if...More

After visiting the bamboo forest we went here. Here it’s also very crowded and in my opinion I don’t know why. The bridge is nice to see but nothing special. It’s more nice to walk along the river and watch the birds in the water.

Sitting on the bench along the park and overlooking the bridge is such a bliss. Watching the seagull, ducks and birds playing above the water helps to temporarily forget about the hustle and bustle in the city.

The Togetsukyo Bridge is located in the picturesque Arashiyama district of Western Kyoto. First built during the Heian Period (794-1185), “togetsukyo” literally means bridge to the moon. This beautiful bridge crosses the Katsura River, offering fantastic views of the natural scenery that surrounds it. One...More

The trees are bare in winter. It is not colorful like spring and autumn. But there are many sightseeing spots such as temples, shrines, bamboo forest, and monkey parks around Arashiyama.
