Overrated sight , the waterfalls are nice though. It takes an endless 3, 5 hours to arrive, crossing not so interesting country site. for one day visit and minimal stops is a 10 hours affair. From September 2024 a small hotel 7 rooms will be available inside the falls park

Its a 3 hours drive of 80 km, on a very bad road, but the view is well worth it. After leaving Brazzaville, you will drive through African nature, see small houses and local people.

Possibly the nearest Congo nature attraction from Brazza. Nice place to see, but quite tough to travel here. You need to take off N1 direction to Loukanga. GPS is following correct road. From this point to Loufoulakari river bridge and village it is about 50km. But here just 4x4 and even not within rainy day, or expecting rain. Too dangerous, unless you are ready to stay overnight outside the city area and wait. This road is forgotten since World bank financed N1, even many people left the area. Expect to meet local travel guide who will ask for entrance fee, proof by some passport, about 3EUR/person, and without knowing more he will accompany you to all places and will ask after all again additional money as a guide. Need to have local man with you to refuse or negotiate. From the village it is still about 6km to get to the place. Suppose to be some hotel there, but all just ruins. At the end you will be rewarded by nice views and all what you may expect of such cascades.

Really impressive waterfalls. They are on a smaller river just before it enters the Congo river. At the site it self you can see nice waterfalls but if you take the trail down you can also get in the water a bit and see some more waterfalls. If you want you can climb down to the congo river it self. Had a great time.
