You can probably finish seeing this park in half a day, if half of your journey is on a paid shuttle. In fact I do recommend taking the shuttle from start to the end point where you see a beautiful waterfall, then walk down a lovely trail (average fitness level required) to the flower station, then take a shuttle to start point (it looks quite dangerous to walk down the road path - if doing that, hold on to your kids!).
There are many nice spots for photography with clouds, water, flowers, and iconic sculptures.
Then why not five stars? I think the transport can be improved. Waiting time for shuttles were long. Food and beverage offerings were sparse, boring and of course, at touristy prices. Toilets and food stalls at the end point (where almost everybody goes to) are temporary structures - it looks like they are finally in the midst of making a permanent centre, which is super long overdue isn’t it?). It appears that some form of competition is badly needed for the management to improve things around the park.

Scenery very calm and beautiful. Entrance and parking fees no problem. Small cars aren’t allowed on the road to the waterfall. It’s too dangerous so only buses can go they said. Didn't make sense but didn’t bother me.
We bought round trip tickets, took the bus there and walked back. Tried to refund the rest of the ticket and they said no. There is not discount for return ticket so you can buy two one way tickets and if you don’t use one you can return it. However, we learned after, if you buy one round trip and use half of it you can’t return it. Why would you sell these inferior round trip tickets unless you want to rip people off? We tried talking to multiple staff and they were all incorrigible. No attempt to understand.
We left after we realized they would fight to the death for 80nt and that’s how they were able to ruin such a great spot. Before this I was excited to return and bring more people to experience it.

Personally, I prefer this than Xitou. Heard about Xitou for a long time but not Sun link sea forest. Anyway, glad that we decided to stay a night at near cottage. My first visit to both Xitou & here ever. It’s definitely one of must visit spot in Taiwan. There are many awesome spots inside the resort. I surely will return here at different season to fully explore and enjoy more natures.

Read the many Tripadvisor reviews and accompanying photos and decided to make this one of the place to visit in Taiwan.
I drove up to the nature park and the long and winding journey was treacherous. It was foggy and there wasn't any view to speak of (road visibilty was fine) when I drove up during noon. Worst still, the road (dual direction) was often very narrow that I was constantly worried that some impatient driver in the opposite direction may cut into my lane to overtake a slow moving vehicle. Nevertheless, i reached the visitor centre in one piece.
Once there, I parked my car and bought a two way ticket for a shuttle bus that brought me to the dropoff point near the waterfall. Besides viewing the waterfall, many people including me made the lung bursting hike up to the highest viewing platform named (loosely translated) 'Heaven Earth Eyes' because the rock feature behind the platform resembled that of the eye socket. I skipped the flower garden as it was already 4.30pm when I was done with the hike. Good thing also as the bus stop there was packed with tourists waiting to board the shuttle bus back to the visitor centre.
By the time I returned to the visitor centre, it was nearly 4.45pm. I drove off quickly to avoid driving in the dark and just as I drove out of the nature park entrance, I was hit by the most amazing view I have ever seen (see photos). The fog had cleared and right in front of me was a sea of cloud. The view was made even more memorable by the sun setting.

We had seen a few reviews for Sun Link Nature Forest, but it wasn’t in our guide book and not sure why. This was one of the highlights in our three week trip in Taiwan. If you enjoy walking and breathing fresh mountain air then this is the place to visit. We spent a very enjoyable six hours doing treks of varying length and difficulty. The site map and use of buses to help travel around this vast area is well set up and run. A popular place, but once you get off the main parts you are often walking alone amongst the beauty and peace of the surroundings. Allow plenty of time to really get the most from Sun Link. You can also stay on site, or get a bus from local towns, although we drove.

Initially was supposed to visit another place of interest, our driver suggested going here instead of there due to the closure. Glad that we came here. We loved it here and were actually disappointed that we didn't manage to finish it all. We visited went through Chinglong Fern Trail and were so mesmerized by the bamboo trees along on way to see the waterfall. The Chinglong Waterfall is beautiful!!
There are many other trails we didn't attempt due to the weather and time. We took bus (have to pay for it) up to the Flower Centre. We took some pics and a few mins later, there was a heavy downpour. Had to seek shelter. Many flowers there to see and take pics of.
Noticed that there is a hotel here, must stay there if you wish to complete all trails and the breath-taking sights of flowers and scenery here, not forgetting the waterfall.

Sun link sea is a natural national park, not usually in tour program. This place is on the high mountain, off course you may have motion sickness during the way up.Our group use car rent with driver to go there. You will found lotus forrest first. If you wanna up to see ,you should be changing car to climb the shap angle hill slope and pay around 200 NTD per person. They will send you up hill, but we can not find the path to walk to wet lotus forrest , it no sign board to show the way. And yes most local people speak Chinese mandarin only make you hard to communicate. (Other group uphill there had same problem and no one walk to see that forrest 5555). Next stop is Sun link Sea national park. You must pay for entry fee. Many car parking lot. Have 3 km walking trails to see the waterfalls. You can go by bus inside pay 40 NTD per person. (We don't know that first and walking with curiosly why had big bus go in and out, ther not allow private car to get in.) Bus has 3 stop, you will find the flower garden and flower glass houses. The waterfall and sunlong rock was the last stop.If you like nature this place is worth fully to trying once in your life.

We spend 1 day here & walk around inside. If elderly & kids cannot walk too long trail, you may take shutter bus to the waterfall (up side) & by shutter bus back or walk slowly to down back. This place very natural, it has 3 waterfalls, 2 caves. One of cave just beside the waterfall, it is wonderful view. As per their introduction, a lot of Negative ion air in there, you may take a deep Breathe. Meanwhile, it is maples & ginkgo fall in November.

We went on a Friday and it is a public holiday due to Ching Ming Festival. The place is crowded. There are bus service to ferry you around but you have to buy a one-way or two way bus ticket. The crowd management at the bus queue was not well,. The bus warden did not make sure the bus is fully loaded and he did not go and check if there are more empty, he basically just look at the front few seats. as a result we have to wait for more than half an hour before we can got onto the bus. The place is worth visit. For those who can walk, world recommend take the bus with a one-way ticket and walk on your return journey out.

Hi, if someone can advise. I would like to stay one night at Sun-Link Sea Forest and Nature Resort. But I read their website, there is only car direction, no bus information. If I am taking the Nantou bus from Taichung to Xitou, will the bus stop near Sun Link Sea Forest and Nature Resort? Thank You
