It is a small museum and depends on the exhibition it is also a worthwhile visit. I brought a really good price painting there.

We wandered in from the Botanical Garden and enjoyed about an hour touring the exhibits. The third floor is under renovation, and the first floors major exhibit was closed by the time we arrived. The Git shop/coffee shop on the fourth floor is worth a...More

The main collection is closed, and only the sculptural exhibit of Lien Pao Tsai and the “reappearance” of the Song Style textiles are exhibited. Nothing historical in this History Museum. Avoid this museum for now.

Full disclosure, I'm not a museum buff but I do appreciate history and culture. First of all, getting to the museum by local transport was fairly easy. The outside grounds were quite beautiful and understated. As I recall, there were 3 floors containing exhibits. I...More

Just a few historical objects to see, less than 10 probably. 1st floor consists just of a corridor due to space being occupied by another exhibition (not included in the ticket price), but that's where all but 1 historical exhibits are housed. 3rd floor closed....More

There are a lot of artifacts to see, however, after the first floor, I feel like everything already looks the same. Didn't see anything that special. I enjoyed the museum near this place more.

We were lucky to catch a photography exhibition here about the history and contemporary photography of Taiwan which was a great exhibit. There were some less than notable art exhibits on other floors. Keep an eye on their website to find out what exhibits are...More

A wonderful retrospective photo exhibit was on display on our visit. There was also an impressive collection of painting by Dong Xiaohui that were very engaging. We wanted to go to the Botanic Garden adjacent to the museum but it was raining too much.

If you're into artifacts, then go visit but the 6 of us weren't really into this. There's 3 floors and the place is very busy. Everything looked the same after the first floor.

There is precisely nothing here on the history of Taiwan or Taipei. Or, for that matter, anywhere in Asia. Rotating displays of art pieces and photography is what you get but you could hardly call it an art museum. Might be OK for a bit...More
