If you're looking for more quality and artistic stuff, this is the place which is not "same same", it's actually different as it has shops offering artistic works. A lovely morning there indeed. And while there, don't miss the Shan fried tofu dish along the road (50 baht!)

A small weekend market in the SAN kAMPHAENG area that has many stalls and shops selling mainly handmade items and clothes on Saturdays mornings till 2pm. Go if you find JJ Market too crowded and commercial. People are friendly and prices are slightly on the high side. I bought a hand embroidered jacket for Baht 3,600 but was totally happy with it because the embriodery were on both front and back and one of a kind. Patchwork clothes featured in a local designer’s stall. There are makeshift stalls in addition to the little shops in the shady area. Most of them are creatively decorated and the use of recycled materias was a consistent theme. There os a small selection of food and drinks. In the area is an excellent restaurant called Meen Rice Based Cuisine. I believe it has a Michellin bib. A great way to spend the weekend in Chiangmai in this charming market.

This Saturday Market is one of the most genuinely chic market place with many small stalls selling homemade handicrafts, clothes, souvenirs, and more. The place is away from hustle and bustle of Chiang Mai's touristy locations, so I was surprised to see the market full of visitors. Most are locals, so you can guess that prices here are reasonable and products are reliable. There are many food vendors selling local food as well as cakes and juices.
Right next to the entrance on your right hand side, there is a small table selling amazing cold pressed juice (called Fruity Fresh) which is highly recommended.
On your left, there is a small building which sells some nice coffee, and further deep inside, there is a homemade pizza place called Bus Pizza.
