I don’t love Taiwan but have been here many times for work and family. However, taroko is a must visit for anyone who loves nature. It’s gorgeous!!

Really worth to visit. Rent a motorcycle or a car for the best experiance. In few spots it's good to stop and take a walk around.

Taroko National Park is huge. We stayed at the Silks Place inside the park and close to hiking trails. The hikes were paved and short so young children can easily walk. April is a good time to go as it gets hot and rainy afterwards.

We travelled by fast train to Hualien from Taipei and took a taxi for the day to show us around (4 of us). We had enough time for walks though gorge and swallows grotto, and lunch at a Taroko restaurant. Then we were dropped back...More

The road through Taroko Gorge is outstandingly beautiful. It was hacked out of the living marble by an army of workers, mainly veterans. The road twists and turns through the gorge. I have never met anyone who was not impressed by Taroko Gorge.
