Not exactly what I was expecting. No English and little info provided within the tower buildings. Best part is the very pretty garden with fountains and koi fish. Shade trees offer much needed reprieve from summer heat. Warning: Handicap access limited. Only stairs to Tower.

It's one of the famous tourist attraction spots in Tainan. Ticket price isn't that expensive, worth visiting especially for those who like old buildings and history.

I did not explore Fort Provintia again this time. The last time I was here, admission was free but currently there is an entrance fee of NTD 50 for adult foreigners. It remains as free admission for local Taiwanese.

We spent about an hour here, taking our time to explore the tower and the landscaped gardens. There is an entrance fee, can't remember how much but it was not a lot. It's a good place for photos and to just sit and watch the...More

Very interesting place. A Dutch fort in 17 century was destroyed almost, changed, preserved to be a Qing house as we see today.

I hate to bash on any historical sites, but this place just wasn't worth the time it took to get there. Its a bit out of the way from downtown Tainan. Not well-kept at all. Very dusty inside (and out), and pretty small as well....More

Very small and underwhelming. Absolutely not worth the NT50 entrance fee. Skip this unless you have nothing else better to do.

This property was built by the Dutch in 1653 as Fort Provintia, although only the foundations date from then. An interesting spot with two main buildings and quite nice, cool garden areas. Well worth a look-see to imagine how life once was in this part...More

Original Dutch fort structure was built in the 1600s. It has been restored twice since and looks more Chinese each time. Great view of surroundings from tower. History of beginnings of Taiwan along with the leadership of Koxinga. Need about one hour to visit and...More

I lost the building front picture ehe. If you don't have tainan residence card, you need to pay the entrance fee for 50nt. Worth to go once, don't go thrice like me. Because you can lost that feeling. 😂 They will have musicians singing or...More

West Central District/ North District
The West Central District is the most populous and the
busiest area. A lot of shops and hotels crowd the
district, and the long-standing history results in a
variety of street food. In addition to that, this
district also has the highest number of temples. This
is how it got the name “Tainan’s Pantheon.” Historic
buildings are literally ubiquitous. For example,
