    Scenic walk oceanside
It’s a small walk to the rock formations but the view and pictures are amazing to take. There are small markets nearby for food and drinks as well. It’s a good spot to visit but I wouldn’t recommend spending more than 2 hours here.

    Fascinating Geopark, Something for Everyone!
I took a bus to visit Yehliu Geopark from Taipei and it was very easy. From the bus stop it's a few minutes walk to the park. There is an entrance fee which is fairly cheap. I walked the park, took a trail around the cliffs and then wandered around the famous rock formations. The candles and shoe were my favorite formations out of the bunch. I'd recommend a minimum of an hour here, but you could easily spend two to three hours.

    Worth a visit!
We enjoyed our stop here with Edison Tours. Very scenic on the coast. You may need to use your imagination with some of the formations. There was a line to snap a photo with the Queens Head. Try to get there early. By the time we left, the buses were pouring in. Bring hat, water, sunscreen. Oh and cash for the endless shopping stalls.

    Amalfi of the east!
Loved every bit of this! Even though it was raining we enjoyed the park thoroughly. The park is wide and has amazing geological features. There is a trail that takes you up the mountain, offers stunning views. It was not crowded as people tend to stay and enjoy the first part more. However, the local restaurants were extremely crowded and the staff were very rude. One of these restaurants asked us to leave because we wanted just fried rice and didn't want to order seafood (no regards to any allergies). No one bothered to attend us at any of the other restaurants (we went to at least 6 of them). We ended up eating sandwiches from a 7eleven

    Nice scenic tour
Short walk around the rock formations. Views are great with interesting rock formation. Visited the place on a cloudy and cool day so added to a positive experience as we didn't experience a hot walk as experience by other visitors.

    Fun cooling visit
Went in December so it was cold and windy. It was fun following the trail in search of the various formation and my niece enjoyed that very much. We had other places to visit so couldn’t spend too much time at Yehliu and didn’t cover the entire area. Nonetheless, a worthy visit even though it gets crowded at certain spots. There is little to no shade in the park so visiting during summer will not be ideal.

    Amazing Unique formations!
Really unique rock formations, right on the ocean! Great to walk around and go in and out of the different formations. Plenty of different types to see, and a great walkabout. You can spend plenty of time here. It gets very windy so dress accordingly.

This park was included in our packaged tour with an entrance fee of 120 NTD. It has magnificent coastal views and several iconic rock formations such as the Queen's head, cute princess, and fairy slipper. There is an area of food stalls selling some treats (some offering free samples) and a few nearby seafood restaurants.

It was a bit crowded during our weekday visit, and it is quite worrying that some of the rock formations are being touched by the tourists. Maybe the park should not allow guests to touch the rocks as it might hasten its erosion?

Great park with amazing geological features. But super crowded in the afternoon. Most of the nicest parts are concentrated at the beginning, and that’s where the crowd is.

The trail extends far behind the mushroom rocks area but the “prize” isn’t nearly as good.

Best to go in early morning to enjoy it.

A worthwhile visit to a place of natural rock formations. Queen's Head is the most popular rock formation of all. Also visit the dried seafood and other food items at Yehliu Market.

I really enjoyed this, more than I thought. The rock formations are quite something. Depends when you go but the area is super hot. I was boiling and struggled in the heat. There is a lot of walking so wear good shoes as some if it is uneven. Suggest an umbrella too so you can shade yourself from the heat. There are toilets outside if you need to go before visiting. We were doing a tour and it included a stop here for about one to one and a half hours. This was fine for an overview. If you have a real interest you can easily spend half a day here as there is a lot to see. Go early as it was super busy!

If it was up to me I'd have steered clear of Yehliu Geopark but the wife really wanted to see it. Once there, the place had the feel of once being pristine and beautiful, but was now suffering from the onslaught of mass tourism. Indeed, we were there on a Tuesday and it was crowded. Getting here from Taipei by those of us who travel car-less was via bus 1815 of the Kuo-Kuang Motor Bus which we caught at their little building just outside Taipei Main Station. The bus dropped us off a few blocks away requiring a 10-15 minute walk. Afterwards we caught the 790 bus to Keelung's unpretentious Maritime Plaza where we enjoyed a good dinner before taking the TRA train back to Taipei.
