This was one of the highlights of our trip! Sakura was in full bloom and it just took our breath away! When we did our research, and the best time to visit would be 2nd and 3rd week of March. There were a lot of...More

During the Flower Festival, there is a special bus from Tamsui MTR to Tian Yuan Gong (天元宫) where cherry blossoms abound. The bus leaves at 30-minute intervals. The bus stops at the car park. Walk up the steps and you may spot some blooms to...More

Rode the bus, just need to walk a few steps further to the temple. Do look at the map posted to see where the cherry trees are... they are a bit further than we could tell when entering the grounds. Keep going up the hill...More

The temple is served by a tailor made bus route from Tansui metro station during the flower season. Can be crowded at times but your patience will be awarded by some gorgeous photos.

I recommend this place if you wanna see beautiful cherry blossoms in Taiwan instead of going to Japan. It was my first time seeing so many cherry blossoms at one time and I was very excited. There were many vendors as well, so don't worry...More

The sakura was in full bloom and it was beautiful, perhaps even more so, in the misty weather. It was also fun to people watch - everyone was snapping photos of themselves (and their pets) with the sakura. Be warned though, that the toilets were...More

It's a very beautiful place to see the cherry blossoms. You can take a free shuttle bus in Tamsui MRT station,or can take 875 bus to Tien Yuen Temple.
