only much. in fact the driver i engaged told me SML (boring in my own opinion) is much much better. was told this is the venue for dragon boat race, but nothing much. can rent a small peddle boat round the lake though.

Not too expensive to rent a 2 or 4-person boat to paddle in the lake to get a panoramic view of the mountains as the backdrop. Battery-powered boats are available if you just want to relax and enjoy the quietness of the lake.

This lake is good for a two hour visit. The lake is rather small, so you quickly go around it. It's good to combine with nearby places like the nearby Li Chuan Aqua farm

Generally in China is not allowed to swim on most natural places because it's believed not to be safe. Most of people can't swim and Taiwan is not an exception. So that's probably the reason.
