It’s worth a photo stop. What I really liked about this stretch of coast was the interpretation signs all about the place, in both Chinese and English. But beware the tour coaches... it was mayhem when a few of them pulled up simultaneously.

I reached this place while riding around Taiwan on my bicycle. What a haven of peace! This beach is so special... I have never seen anything like that. This is definitely one of my favorite places in Taiwan.

Went to Lao Mei in mid May We arrived just at low tide according to an online tide chart. You only need a max of 30 minutes there.

Beautiful rock formations made by algae. Early spring is usually recommended for a visit when the algaes are green - but I'd say visit whenever; when the tide is right it's transformed no matter whether green or not :) There is a lot of trash...More

It was my first time being here and seeing those amazing green reef. It's really a cool place to relax. There's a beautiful lighthouse (Fugueijiao Lighthouse) nearby. However, the beach is a bit dirty and polluted due to a stranded cargo ship. Still, it's worthy...More

The green rocks are a pretty interesting attraction. But there are a few things to take into account before going. Traveling by public transportation from Taipei, you are looking at about 2-3 hours depending on traffic. But the route is simple. Take the MRT to...More
