If u wish to avoid big crowds, visit on weekdays instead. This place is packed with tourist. Came in the evening if u want to see the lantern lights up. So lively and beautiful view. Do try the famous taro and sweet potato balls

Got this opportunity to Visit Taiwan for a free visa for Filipinos from June 2017 to July 2018..sightseeing was really awesome and it’s really safe country to go solo in traveling 👍👍👍

Yes. There are several trails. We started @ the one near Jiufen Old Street. There is also Mt. Keelung which offers climbing & hiking of various intensities.
