Went here after visiting Yehliu Geopark. Its a short walk from the car park to the falls itself but manageable. Walk over the hanging bridge then walk further down the trail to get to the best part of the waterfall. After the waterfalls, a short...More

The waterfall was the second part of a trip we booked through Klook. We had visited Shifen village first and released a lantern then the bus brought us the short journey to the waterfall. It's a lovely walk to the waterfall passing over a bridge...More

Went there during the dry season and not able to get a good view of how nice it is but its quite cooling to have a walk around there. There are also food and souvenirs stores along the route.

You certainly need a car to get here. It is not near to the city. There was no entrance fee required. It took us around 10 minutes to walk from main road to the waterfall. Along the walk, you get to enjoy the scenery, cross...More

You have to cross the suspension bridge to be able to see the waterfall. The bridge is a bit shaky but it’s fun. There are gardens, small shrines, play and resting areas, and some restaurants, and shops too. The waterfall is not that big and...More

We had a great time exploring and appreciating nature. It was a bit hot though, and there were a lot of people at the time so it was kind of hard to navigate around, especially with a baby. You also have to climb a lot...More

Shifen Old Street & Shifen Waterfall (十分大瀑布) make for a great day trip from Taipei. You will walk on rope bridges and pleasant small pathways to reach the 40 metre high Shifen waterfall. Sit and enjoy the water beautifully falling into the lake beneath the...More

From Shifen Old Street it is about a 30 to 45 minute walk to Shifen Waterfalls. Bring an umbrella and stay hydated as it can be very hot and strenuous (due to some areas with stairs and suspension bridges). There are options to take a...More

While the waterfall is not as big as expected, the view is stunning and it is worth a trip to visit just to take in the view. However, enroute to the waterfall, we encountered many bees flying around so do be careful.
