Taiwan does not have many infrastructures superior to Japan. This one is an exception. Japanese tourists traveling along THSR would agree. It's Taiwan version of Japan's Shinkansen using Japanese systems and yet facility service is apparently better. With this you can visit any of Taiwan's...More

Really easy and convenient to get to certain parts of Taiwan. Super comfy seats so you can just pass out for a nap until your destination. There are snacks being sold too so no worries if you forgot to eat!

For my last 2 trips to Taiwan, I used the High Speed Rail to ply between Taipei and Kaohsiung. I took both the express and normal scheduled trains and the only difference is the timing. For express scheduled train, as they do skip a few...More

Taiwan HSR is a great option to travel in large distances in Taiwan. Very comfortable, affordable and quick too. It's also convenient as you can buy tickets on the spot, and pay with your foreign credit card.

very good & modern rail service. the only problem was finding the ticket office to purchase our tickets as nobody spoke english & all the rail services were underground intermingled with shopping centers that run for miles.

Good, fast and not too expensive! The staff can usually speak English. It is the best way to travel from one big city to another. Don't even think of taking the plane: Taiwan is too small for that and the world is already too polluted.

The ride was very nice, quiet and convenient. Besides that, I left my backpack on the train in a hurry to get off with all my other bags. They staff handled it right away and within a few hours, I had my backpack back. Nothing...More
