This was a very small area which will hardly qualify as a village.I went on a weekday and the folk village was lacking in activity. We were done browsing and sight seeing in 15 min. The shops were selling thunder tea and lots of preserved...More

It's a small exhibit centred mainly around an old hainanese house. Good way for the kids to be introduced to some old fashion titbits and foods as well as toys.

There are many activities available for young kids here, including paint paper umbrella, traditional toys, and some food. The exhibition are good for international travelers. When we visited the village, some professional worker was painting an umbrella, which was fantastic!

I went there yesterday with my parents. The village is decorated with hakka cloth ( traditional pink floral pattern) making everything look so classical. We tried the hakka tea ( lei cha) there. It's composed of green tea powder, peanuts, seasame, rice, sugar, etc. They...More

It's a small folk village with hakka folklore items on display and for sale, and a nice garden for short recess and photos. Not a major attraction, yet worth a visit if it's on the way.

If you want to drive around the countryside in Kaoshiung, the trip here is OK. Otherwise, not much to see or do, and the Hakka village is for tourists, not really an authentic living village.

We visited this village as part of a small group tour. The main reason given for the visit was the location making paper umbrellas. This was indeed the case and the range and quality was very good. There are also a number of other shops...More

My wife and I cycled from the Meinong bus station in the afternoon on a Friday. Road signage is minimal and even the locals whom we approached for directions are not aware of this attraction and directions thereto. There's only one huge map of all...More
