The thing I like about Long Shan Si is its antiquity. It is grand and majestic with large courtyards. It is a temple that is still in use, i.e. with worshippers. Many devotees come in and out and yet it does not make the place...More

Absolutely fascinating! And wait until you know how long has the place been there for. I love how Taiwanese preserve and take pride in their culture and history. Recommended.

We visited at dusk and it was beyond stunning. Such a beautiful time to visit and very atmospheric. 400 years old and very intricate details in the building. Set in a residential area and surprisingly quiet. Would definitely visit.

The Longshan temple was constructed in 1786 and was badly damaged in the 921 earthquake but has been fully restored. The main shrine of the temple holds an image of Guanyin. The temple is beautiful with exquisite carvings and images.

The Buddish temple is build 300 years ago, with well preserving the original style. The wooden ceiling inside the temple is worth looking. Can have a nice afternoon visit and fully embrace the cultural atmospheres here-of course with the famous small dishes and desserts nearby.
