This Cultural and Creative Industries Park is an outlet for local crafts people. Taiwan is gaining a reputation for doing new things in design. If you look around you will find some iteresting items. Take your time and see what's on offer. Apart from regional handicrafts, you can also sample some regional snacks. Taiwan people love trying some of the local specialties, so try some of the local gastronomic delights.

Wandered into this place with my wife as we explored the town.
We enjoyed the space, took some pictures as we walked through it. I supposed it was because of the timing we were there, that none of the galleries or shops were opened.
Despite the lack of any happenings, it was a comfortable stroll. We took the opportunity to sit down and rest our weary feet.

Mixture of local display, shops selling regional items and of cos some snacks and cafe. I remember there was a tourist information centre and has lockers in case you prefer to walk around freely. Went on a weekday so it was not crowded and I could slowly explore and stroll.

This is a renovated area. Old depots are transformed into restaurant, souvenir shops and atelier of handcraft etc. You may find them interesting, but it depends on what you are interested in. In my opinion, it is a little bit touristic.

They had Christmas music playing and the shoppers were out in force on this Sunday afternoon Poked around at some of the cheaper and higher end gifts -- but nothing struck my fancy. Hall after hall of vendors and artisans selling their wares. A lot of jewelry. Grounds have a nice aesthetics and are kept clean. Not my cup of tea, but I'm picky about my gifts.

Good conservation of this cultural place, it allows rental for exhibitions too. Unique art products as souvenirs, shops are selling ice creams esp for a hot day!

Hualien Cultural Creative Industries Park is a nice place for Hualien, with many small unique shops, or just people watching. A good place to get your Taiwan souvenirs.

Don't recall seeing them but if you are there just for a day trip, leave your luggage at the train station's storage room
