We walked up to this on a last-min whim via hard-to-find back-street steps (fascinating and worth it!) with very little expectations and were blown away. It was dusk so we had the added pleasure of watching the light fade over the amazing sea views and...More

It takes some time to reach the old British Consulate at Takao on foot, but it's worthwhile. The building and the trees are pretty interesting and the city view you get from there is absolutely unique.

It's a long walk 😰 I think they should reduce the entrance fee to 30 or 50 because nothing special inside. Don't forget to bring water because climbing up is very exhausting.

Rent a bike of some description or get a taxi from Sizihwan station. Short walk up and you are there. A pleasant place with a few things to see. Tie it in with a walk round to the university stadium and maybe catch a homerun...More

Quite a pity that this building is not so well presented. Only a small portion is open to public, with limited introductions. Maybe because not that much to say. Well, you can have a cup of tea after climbing the hill anyway.

A histroical building, worth to pay a visit, may view sunset if time fits. It is very small, not much to see and can finish it in a short while. There is a restaurant, take a snap with a high tea set is relaxing, but...More
