This temple complex is quite beautiful, and definitely worth the effort to come and see along with the Confucius temple next door. A visit to both could be done in an hour.

Dalongdong Baoan Temple (Chinese: 大龍峒保安宮; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Tōa-lông-pōng Pó-an-kiong) also known as the Taipei Baoan Temple (臺北保安宮) is a Taiwanese folk religion temple built in the Datong District, Taipei, Taiwan. The present temple was originally built by clan members in Tong'an, Xiamen, Fujian, who immigrated to Taipei in the early 19th century and gave...More

Looking back at the various temples we visited in Taipei this was our top rated one. It was not too crowded, brightly colored, nicely designed and a joy to walk around. The Temple was located across the street from the Confucius Temple so it was...More

There are so many temples to visit in Taipei, you just can't get to all of them. But certainly visit Paoan Temple. It is right opposite Confucius Temple. Take the red line to Yuanshan station, head down Kulun Street and on your right thru the...More

Nice to come around 5pm where they have all the lights on where it enhances the beauty of the temple. They have pack of offerings available for $NT50. Rest room available at the back of the main temple. A must.

There are some accommodations close to this place but I must say i never tried them. There is metro station ( red line) Yuanshan aprox. 500 meters from the temple and also the bus stop like 200 meters from there.
