Nice to come around 5pm where they have all the lights on where it enhances the beauty of the temple. They have pack of offerings available for $NT50. Rest room available at the back of the main temple. A must.

It’s a very beautiful temple! Though if you went during a certain period (i forgot when, i think it’s mid april or end of april), there’ll be some festival there

great colours and imagery. It's an active temple so lots of worshippers and incense being burnt - nice and atmospheric

The good thing about traveling to Taipei and wanting to visit temples is that the temples in Taiwan are more or less a bit similar, they are different but in general not much different, and the traffic in the Taipei city is vernally very good,...More

The temple is adorned in wonderful carvings and paintings. It is also an extremely peaceful place where you can get away from the hustle and bustle of Taipei...that is until a plane passes overhead. Easy to get to from the MRT and well worth a...More

We came here on our final day, and nearly didn't because we were worried we may be 'templed out'. I should not have been concerned because this was a real highlight. Beautiful buildings in a peaceful area. Combined with the nearby Confucius temple, you can...More

This place is almost magical. Definitely worth a visit if you have the time. It's best to go during off-peak hours to avoid the crowd.

We were taken to this temple by a friend who lives in Taipei. We went in the early evening and it was uncrowded and peaceful. We enjoyed walking the grounds, taking photographs and just soaking in the atmosphere. The temple itself is amazingly well preserved...More

Visited the Confucious temple first and this temple is literally just across the street through a small but pretty garden like park. I am used to colorful temples but this temple has a black façade but the designs are intricate. There were some visitors and...More

There are some accommodations close to this place but I must say i never tried them. There is metro station ( red line) Yuanshan aprox. 500 meters from the temple and also the bus stop like 200 meters from there.
