Spent a great couple of hours wandering through the stalls and sitting "people watching " on a hot Sunday morning. Certainly not a tourist market, so full of lical colour. Well worth a visit.

The stop is Shuanglian Market. This is where all the locals go and shop for their food in the morning. It is very interesting to walk along and check out all the local fish, vegetables and other strange food items that are local to Taiwan....More

I love this morning market. It’s so lively and there’s so much to see and buy. They sell all sorts of things from raincoats, umbrellas, clothings, fancy hats, gloves, inner wears, home wares, kitchen wares, fruits and nuts, meat and seafood, roasted chestnuts, steamed corns,...More

Really nice morning market. If you are staying at any hotels near Zhongsan MRT station, you can walk here really easily!!! I got some interesting eastern-style desserts...kind of glutinous rice/tapioca kind of texture with fruits and beans in it. They are square in shape and...More

This was maybe my favorite market in Taipei... liked it almost more than the night markets since it seemed more "real". I think we were the only westerners that we saw during our time there. Definitely more of a local feel with a mix of...More

Right next to Shuanglian Station, this is a locals market - fruits and vegetables, clothing, odds and ends. Good place to go for a Taiwanese breakfast on the run. Who knows what else you may discover?

Small local morning market. It was pleasant to visit. Some snacks, fruits & lingeries too maybe! Bought some nuts at a reasonable price. Very fresh.

Nice little morning market that sells fresh and preserved fruits and vegetables, nuts (roasted and candied), cooked food, clothes and other things. It's located just outside the Shuanglian MRT (Exit 2 Mackay Hospital). Stalls vary everyday. You can buy cheap local food here.
