The Buddha Museum (formerly Buddha Memorial Center) was constructed with the intention of the construction commenced in 2001 enshrining the Buddha's relic and lasted for ten years. It was officially opened on the 25th December 2011.

Unfortunately i was there on Tuesday. This museum close on Every Tuesday. Bad bad day however the Fo Guang Shan, old building was open. Fo Guang Shan close every Wednesday. The best day to visit is Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Fo Guang Shan is open everyday (some of the shops may be close though) and the Buddha Museum is closed every Tuesday.

Could save the all description and say amazing and really deserve the visit . Very comfortable bus from Kaohsiung station The place is very spiritual with very beautiful gardens and statues .. super recommended

This place is sprawling, but kid of shallow as Buddhist monasteries go. The staff are incompetent, and the main viewing deck is not open outside of a Buddhist holidays, which is totally stupid.
