A hidden gem, really. very close to the "world famous" Peggy's cove.We stumbled upon it on our way to Peggy's. only about 3-4 kms from there. It has a very small unfinished parking spot - may park 4-5 cars. We parked on road side. The...More

This is by far the most breathtakingly beautiful trail along the coast that I have experienced. I could sit and listen to the surf for hours. I have gone quite a few times and hardly anyone else has ever been in the area.

If you hike, this is a wonderful trip that can be longer or short. It is rugged in places but never fails to please, in any season. In October, the low scrubby bushes are a beautiful red and other vegetation is also in fall mode....More

A wonderful hiking area that we have been going to for many years. Another area along the 333 that offers breathtaking views and amazing for photos of nature, the ocean and its rugged coastline. The many different footpaths off the main trail offer various views...More

We felt we were the only hikers on this trail and there were many different ways to hie. After the main trail, there are little foot paths through brush and rocks and you can make your way over to many rock faces and view Peggy's...More

Well known location for Peggy's Cove Lighthouse and the rugged coastline. Beautiful palace for a hike.

You stop at a relatively unmarked pull off (we just stopped where we saw other cars parked), and after a short walk reach an area where you get a great view up and down the coast. You can continue if you want.

My goal this summer and fall is to discover or re-visit all those hidden gems in NS. Although the official trails websites make this trail sound very easy and short - there is the option to branch off on a number of little trails and...More

We picked an October afternoon to do this hike as we didn't have a lot of time. The weather was perfect and sunny, cool enough for a light jacket but warm enough to sit on the rocks for lunch. I'd suggest waterproof boots if you...More

But then where along this coast isn't? The glacial droppings are a large part of what makes this such an interesting area to explore. And the bog-life that we just don't expect to see on a rocky seashore. Loved it!!
