We went to the temple from Legian at 3pm. But due to heavy traffic we did not arrive till 5pm. This left us very little time to see the temple before we had to get to the dance area to get a seat. So if...More

It starts with the kecaka kecaka sound, for some boring, but I thought it was beautiful. After thay the show really begins. The actors were very interacting with the audience, and there was a lot of laughter. Do read the paper they give you at...More

The show is great (except the part when Hanuman does the clown but some people like it), the kencak artists are awesome. And the view on the sun and the sea is beautiful. BUT I didn't manage to fully appreciate the show because of some...More

Must see if you are a cultural buff. More than 70 performers. Begins with kecaka kecaka sound and remains throughout the play. They play Ramayana with actual characters amazing acting. One thing disappointing was after the play was started people were still let in and...More

At first I thought it was just the usual dance, which gets a bit boring after a couple of minutes. Even though it started like that for the first 15 minutes, it got much better when the white monkey appeared, turn it into a funny...More

We saw 2 Kecek dances, we thought the first one was good which had been arranged by the Chedi Club hotel in Ubud. However when in Sanur we did an evening trip through Audley Travel to the Ulawatu temple to see the Kecek and fire...More

Price is really the factor here though I do believe that this is after all a once-in-a-lifetime experience. There are plenty of these YouTube videos lying around if you feel that you are not too keen to part with so much of a money. Sunsets...More

Kechak and Fire Dance is performed everyday in evening at Uluvayutu. This place is usually crowded. There is only music and actions. No words spoken.

This was one of the performances I had been looking forward to and the build up was intense, given the superb sun setting in front of us and the inevitable hustle and bustle of ensuring you had the right seat and location and indeed kept...More

It was uncomfortably crowded and very hot as we were sitting in the sun as it was setting, it is very difficult to leave and a definite no if you have claustrophobia. The dance was entertaining, I liked the white monkey, but it went on...More

Oh yes dear. They perform everyday so don't worry. Please remember to come few hours earlier and gather at the ticket counter before the crowd gets bigger. While waiting you can enjoy the sunset and take some photos. Or... More

Hi my sister and I will be staying at the Ramada Bali Sunset Hotel and wish to experience an evening at the Kecak and Fire Dance. I see it is a 40 min drive from our Hotel to Uluwatu Beach. Can anyone tell me would we be wiser to book through our Hotel & approx cost in Australian Dollars as well as booking a driver to get there and back?? I have not been to Bali before so unsure what our best option would be. We do not want to get stranded after the show finishes but I do not know if there is any other transport to Uluwatu available to us? We will be in Bali 19 September but only for 6 days so trying to plan a few outings in advance. Thank you in advance for anyone who may be able to assist with my questions.
