Visiting our son who lives in Kamala, on the beach. The beach, the village, the restaurants nearby, the shops, etc. are simply lovely and fun! We had a ball enjoying the weather, the lovely bay, the gorgeous sunsets every evening and the many options for...More

Kamala is the perfect rest and relaxation in Phuket. That means a beach that is quiet, calm and beautiful, with water sports, surrounded by amazing restaurants and international beach clubs; central and close to Patong, Surin, and Bangtao areas; and best of all, close to...More

I walked along this beach and it made me homesick for Noosa, my local Aussie beach. Not the whitest sand, not the clearest water, lots of long chairs which I'm sure would cost an arm and leg to sit on. Not impressed, sorry.

Not crowded like Patong so ample space and beautiful scenery. Good beach for families. We stayed at Sunwing Kamala so easy access to the beach.

Went to Patong and hated the crowds and busy drunk atmosphere, came here in last few days of Thailand holiday and love it. It’s chill but not too chill, still cafes and restaurants, beaches and tours without the grit that Patong had.

The reason I liked this beach is the massages are lovely and nice than those on Kata beach. Its quieter than Karon & Kata. Just liked it. I didn't see many food places, just a small row of 2 or 3 food stalls. But I...More

Hi Rajat. The closest town u can go to Kamala town which is less crowded the Patong area. U can actually rent a motorbike which is quite cheap and useful for your travel around.

Plenty of transport options, you'll find tuk tuks around the hotel entrance and parked on the street. I didn't see a lot of bikes around though. Novotel to Kamala town is about a 15min walk, but will cost approx 200baht... More

Sorry to tell you but it is a long way away so I would recommend a tuk tuk. Hope that helps.
