We went on a Tuesday morning, and there were local worshipers there in good numbers. A small temple that was destroyed at the most part in its many years, so that the parts a visitor will see are all the rebuilt parts. Looks and feel...More

It's a small temple in the middle of the old town which claims to be built in 1721 and is now ~300 years old.

Came across this gem in the middle of the hustle and bustle after lunch at the fried pork chop place nearby. It's been around since 1700s which makes it about 300 yearsof history !

Apparently, this temple is like 100 years old or so. It's quite nice, well taken care of and everything, but don't expect to see much different things if you've already been to Confucius temple

The building at the front is the new one. The original temple is at the back but was partially ruined by the earthquake in 2009.

This is one of the oldest temples in Taichung city. You can see people worship Mazu all the time every day. A small temple it is, but you can observe how people in Taiwan do the Mazu ceremony.
