2nd Market in Taichung is a local market, which houses groceries. There are also some eateries, but for foreigners it is difficult to place an order.

If Taiwanese are anything like Singaporeans, they live to eat. It was very interesting to take a short stroll through the wet market (a stone's throw from downtown) and salivate over the goodies on offer, ogle at the ginormous queues for certain food stalls and...More

During our week at Taichung, we came to the 2nd market twice. This market was lively and only a short 10-15 mins walk from the Taichung station. Or else, a short bus ride would take you there in less than 10 mins. It is like...More

2nd market is a must visit place for people who like nostalgic traditional shopping. More suitable for older generation. A slowly walk around the area you can find a lots of suprise. You can get very good price food there.
