This resort is now called Esmeralda Villa. You can reach it by boat from Port Barton or via a bumpy road. Take the boat if you can. This place has a few large bungalows, but caters mainly to day trippers who come and go throughout the day. They do not stay overnight though. Check-in went smoothly and the accommodation is clean with lots of light, plugs, comfortable beds and a good size bathroom. No safe in room, no wifi, no water. There is a/c, but you might as well open the windows (there are screens) to enjoy the breeze. Rooms were not cleaned during our two night stay, so use the towels with care. No electricity between midnight and 17:30, which also means no hot water. If you want to take a warm shower, do it at night. In general quiet, even if the resident dogs made their presence known and bats dropped all kinds of stuff on the thin roof, which woke us up a couple of times. The grounds are very well kept, with leaves swept every morning. There is a smoking section, however smoking seems to happen everywhere. Pre-order your food. Best choice for breakfast was the French toast. Coffee is the three in one kind, like in many other countries in Asia. Not everything on the menu is available all the time, so check. Same goes for drinks. The pizza was good with lots of cheese and a thin crust. You can book excursions to go island hopping, but we decided to take it easy. Good swimming from the beach. A few hammocks are available. Very pleasant surprise. If you can live off the grid for a few days, this is the place to go.

This is simply stunning, a beautiful place. The food was delicious and the staff super friendly. If you can, stay a couple of days and just soak up the sun and the chilled atmosphere. A place to really relax

We had this wonderful white sand beach all to ourselves in the morning before the boats arrive from Port Barton. The water is nice to swim in and use of the facilities (including hammocks) is included in the PHP 50 entrance/user fee.

We chose to have a lazy day here and didn't regret it, we soaked up the sun, had a swim and explored the beach. There is a rest bar here which was little expensive but we only had drinks.
There is a 50php pp charge arrival but this allows you to use the toilets/ showers on the islands so in my opinion was well worth it.

Yeah, you know that place you see in postcards and those travel blogs. Turqouise waters, fine and crystal clear sand not a plastc bottle or cigarette bud in sight?
This is what it looks like.
150php single trip (300 return) from port barton and it takes 10 mins to cross into the neighbouring cove.
1 restaurant on the beach and some small homestay huts too.

Hubby and I hiked for an hour from Barton to reach the beautiful White Beach. It was well worth the hike. The beach sand was soft and a joy to walk on. The hammocks weren't the most comfortable, but we managed to doze off in them. It was the perfect place to spend a lazy day. The food from the resort was surprisingly good.

Since there's no island hopping activity due to gale warning, we decided to go to white beach for 2days. We've loved this amazing beach resort, it's very serene. The sea is calm, a nice place to swim. Mobile and data signal are strong. There are a lot of hammock to rest.

I hiked over from Port Barton and took a boat back (150P) I loved hanging out in the hammocks at White Beach. It is an hour walk from Port Barton and 5 minutes by boat, so there are fewer people. You can grab a private spot on the beach or lay back in a hammock. Saw massive butterflies and dragon flies on the walk - felt like I was in Disney Land.

Booking:
We booked our stay directly at Esmeralda Villa (formerly White Beach Annex, a part of Deep Moon Resort but the staff said it is a part of a different management)

Getting there:
You can get there either by van (PHP150 per person per way, 30-45 minutes) or by boat (PHP50 per person per way, 20-30minutes) from Port Barton.

The Beach and Property:
Going to this beach was love at first sight – it was flawlessly clean, beach fresh air, coconut swings everywhere and glass-clear water.
As for the property, we booked 2 rooms that share a large porch. Each room has a spacious bathroom as well. They were spotlessly clean so we can definitely say that their housekeeping did his job well. They have hot and cold showers however one of the toilet’s water pressure was very low so at times it didn’t work. One of the rooms remained warm despite the A/C being set at its highest. We reported it and they tried to fix it but the room temp didn’t get better. Electricity was out from 12AM – 5AM as we recall so some of us had to sleep outside because it was too hot inside the rooms. We were not informed of this scheduled power outage.
WARNING:
The beach has a lot of sand fleas (they will leave itchy bite marks for weeks!), protect yourselves using strong insect repellents. 

EXPERIENCE:
Food:
We transferred from the Jungle Resort Restaurant and Hut (review posted in their page) because of the bad experience but we never expected that we’d go through worse at this resort. :/
We chilled at the beach waiting for our van, we ordered fruit and coffee shakes. My colleague ordered watermelon shake but was given mango shake, she took it because she felt bad for the server. I ordered coffee shake, only to find HAIR in it, I immediately took it to the bar and notified the person who served it to me, he did something for a few minutes and gave it back to me - I don’t know if he made me another one or if it was the same drink.
During dinner, we ordered pork pancit and were given chicken instead of pork but still let it pass.

Staff and Service:
The receptionist and staff looked very young to be working.
Dinner time, we noticed that it was getting hot inside the one of the rooms. We advised the receptionist before having dinner that the AC was working but we barely felt it and she said that she’ll check the room later. While we were eating, we saw that she got our room key, so we asked where she was going, she said that she will check the rooms while ALL of us were outside. We did not allow her to do it because our valuables were inside.
Ordering our food was also a disaster, they took the orders wrong from snack to dinner and instead of apologizing that they served the wrong food and shake, we felt that we were the ones at fault.
We also noticed how they treat the foreign guests differently – they were greeted nicely, served food with smile on their faces and receptionist interacted with them so politely while we were treated differently.
Upon checking out, our friend provided a mere feedback that they did not even once they tell us that there will be no electricity between 12AM – 5AM but their response was, there was a note in the room (which did not exist) that says there will be no electricity and shouted at us, saying that they did not force us to check-in. We responded that we were providing feedback on how they can improve their service and they told us that, “Customers are NOT always right!” We told them that they were being rude and we asked for their names to which one replied “My name? You don’t know who I am?” When we told them that they were TOO young to be working, the receptionist ran back to the hut and came back with a handful of cash which she was waving at us. At this time, our boat was already meters away from shore. We told them that we didn’t ask for our money back and was just providing feedback and now they are being rude to us. They even shouted that we should never go back to their resort. We told them it’s a pity because the place is beautiful but their attitude is so bad. Our boatman, Kuya Jeremy, went back to the beach and said that they are not supposed to be rude to the guests and that they needed to apologize instead of fighting back. When we got back to the mainland, we reported them to Walter Sabillo, a Peacekeeper at Port Barton and wrote a complaint about our experience. We asked that they also report it to the Department of Tourism. We were told by the staff at Deep Moon and by the Peacekeeper that we were not the first to complain about the same resort and staff.
Hence, we would like to thank KC Cariño, the housekeeping, for leading us to our rooms, he was very nice and accommodating. The rooms were spotless and tidy because of him. Also our boatman, Kuya Jeremy, who was extremely nice, very patient and cooked our delicious food. He was the best boatman in all of our 4 tours we had in Palawan, May 2019.
