Apparently the highest single slop in the world (see signpost image). Food/facilities available. It is amazing to think about avalanches coming so far from the mountain. Search for "Rakaposhi avalance" on youtube to see how scary this beautiful place can be!

First do eat the local favourite 'chup shoye' when you stop over to view the might peak. You are lucky if the sky is clear as usually the peak top is covered with clouds.

We were lucky to visit when the sky was without clouds. We could see the top of Rakaposhi and take great pictures. Walk up and closer a bit to avoid photos with electrical wires. Gift shops her negotiate prices. Lunch there is quite tasty. Or...More

You will drive past on your way to Hunza, so take a break and have some tea. Rakaposhi towers some 6 vertical kilometers above you and it is an impressive sight.
