Absolutely amazing experience. Right up there with other places like the Grand Canyon and Taj Mahal. We set off at 4:30am to walk up and catch the sunrise (temp was 27deg when we started climbing). It took us 30 min to climb but that was...More

Amazing views atop King Herod’s fortress of the mountains and hills and the Dead Sea. Amazing what has survived. Go in the cool of the morning as it gets very hot while hiking. Take lots of water and your camera!

We came from the other entrance of Masada (the one which doesn't have cable car), which was very nice and not crowded at all. We walked up to Masada in 20 minutes. Bring sunscreen, because the sun will burn you

It was amazing. Incredible views, rich history, and a really rewarding hike. Sunrise is really the only way to do it since the temperature is cool enough to actually hike up. We caught the official sunrise about halfway up and it was breathtaking. Took us...More
