We paid 650.000 for a taxi (round trip) to get there, but our driver dropped us about 2 or 3 km before it. So, we walked. At the timang beach, you have to pay for everything : to get to this small island, to step...More

Didn't expect the wind to be that strong just by looking at the pics. The waves were crazily crashing against the rocks, creating huge splashes. Those who stood near the edge or while waiting for your turn to take gondola or cross the bridge will...More

This place is awsome. Great place to see big waves. There are 2 ways to get across to the island. We took the rope suspension bridge which cost 100k rupiah per person. Another way is using the sliding gondola which cost 200k rupiah per person....More

First of all: bring a lot of small cashmoney with you- everything costs a little, which is absolutely fine and everything is cheap- you just need the cash. The first adventure started about 3 km from the beach when it was obvious that the car...More

It was quite a hairy experience. The sea below was very rough and we dared not look down. The cable car is manually pulled by the locals. It was an adventure.

My 2 female friends and I were there in early Jan. It was the rainy season and so it was extremely windy and also rained. But the upside was that there was relatively fewer people at the beach. It isn't so much a sandy beach...More
