a fantastic place to visit,like most greek monastery's it is very colourful and peaceful,there is wonderful artworks and beautiful flower filled gardens,from the small temple in the garden you can sit and enjoy the view down the valley out to the sea.look to the skies...More

Not only a fascinating monastery with history but the gorge is also famed for the griffon vultures living high above out of the wind

This is an interesting Monastery in my opinion .. beautiful architecture and splendid views. It's often a stop off point on other extended excursions but not to be ignored as a place to sit and relax for a while.

We did not plan to visit this monastery. We drove by past is on our way from Milatos to Plaka. It is an oasis of quiet. The arquitecture and flowers are gorgeous. The bell tower even more pretty. If you want to visit 1 monastery...More

A delightful stop whilst going to Vrahasi on the Happy Train. The monastery is both beautiful and tranquil. The exhibits in the small museum are exquisite. Excellent photo opportunities of the buildings themselves and looking down the gorge to the sea. Leave a few euros...More

The art work and history are wonderful. St George as you've never seen him before. Stunning museum of the Greek Orthodox church. The jewels will take your breath away/

Close to the main road but yet, calm and full of peace area. A perfect, beautiful spot to relax and enjoy the atmosphere !

Very worthwhile (we went up with the Happy Train - see my review for that), and it was my second visit. Lovely to see it again, and I particularly enjoyed seeing the priest having a snooze on a shady chair and leaning on a wall....More
