This time my wife and I parked at the Goksøyra parking lot, and walked up to the Lundeura part of the nature reserve. This is where most of the puffins are hatching. We arrived early in the afternoon, and stayed for some hrs waiting for...More

Loved the 2hr birdwatching boat trip. It brought us to where the puffins were fishing, and to the gannet nests off the cliffs. Superbly enjoyable. Boat leaves from the harbor but you have to go to the campsite reception to buy tickets first. Call in...More

We went on a boat trip to the rocky bird island called "Runde" to see the gannets ("guga") and puffins. I'd heard about Runde and seen it on TV, however it was special to see it in real life :) I recommend it. It might...More

A lot of walking and sometimes in very steph climbs but well worth to do. A pair of binoculars and a good camera is almost a must. Well worth to sit and wait in the evening at the typical place for the Atlantic Puffin. They...More

Great view over the North sea, and the area around. It is a nice hike to the top. It is a must if you are in the area

This is the place for bird watchers, but if you're not into that it's a wonderful hike anyway in an extended undulating meadow, from where you get stunning views of close and distant islands that dot Norway's Atlantic coast. A treat for walkers.
