The Durg is located in the middle of the sea. One will never come to know it was built. But felt bad after seeing the condition inside since in many places water is coming inside the fort.

The travel to the island fort is a little scary but wonderful and worthy . The fort is impressive . The view from the fort is breathtaking.

It is a historic fort build by the Shivaji Maharaj and it is a unique architecture as it is surrounded by water on all four sides. May be it was build on island very close to sea shore...

A must while visiting Malvan. A short boat trip can take you there. Walking around the fort some time can enjoyable. The fort looks stunning from the beach.

Buses, and taxis, both are good options, reach Malvan town ( a taluka level place), Sindhudurg is situated there.
