We had a great lunch (had to come back the next day!) Our tour guide, Mags, was so knowledgeable and personable! It was so much fun to learn about the spices we use everyday, and to see, smell and taste samples them too!

I cannot figure out what may the insect that bit you. I am thinking sand fly or Dr. Fly which is persistent. They are mostly at the deck . We have Traps every where and Insect Repellant where you board the trailer. We are constantly...More

Thanks for the excellent response. Yes I will have to sell it some day. (The clock is ticking) . No rush to sell. We want to make it one of the best tourist attractions in Belize-like the Miracle Garden in Dubai.

One of our favorite things we did in Belize. We toured with Marvin in a golf cart (just two of us) and got an awesome personalized tour. Sights, smells, tastes, and local insight. Had a nice visit with the owners afterward too. Highly recommended!

Got bit several times at the Spice Farm tour I got bit by a black flying insect several times. We did bring bug spray with us but I forgot to put some on. We sat in the back of the tractor ride and our daughter who was carrying the bug spray sat in the very front while we went through the tour and I kept feeling something bite my ankles I would look down and see a black flying insect. I tried to shake my legs as to not cause a scene and scream and ruin the tour for everyone but it kept coming back to bite. This ruined the trip for me as all I could focus on was my ankles as if I took my eyes off for a minute and I stopped shaking my legs I would get bit again. Now 2 weeks later I have these swollen bites that are uncontrollably itchy. Can someone tell me what bit me so I can look up how to treat the bites?
